Abstract
Two design methods for a discrete-time deadbeat reduced order observer are considered in this paper. The first method is parallel to the Gopinath method, while the second method is parallel to the Luenberger method. Both methods lead to the same observer; that is, (1)the order of the observer is n − m ; (2)the total state x(k) can be reconstructed within V0 − 1 steps ; that is, one step is saved compared to the deadbeat full-order observer ; (3)all poles of the observer are at zero. Keywords
