A HEMOPHILIA-LIKE DISEASE WITH PROLONGED COAGULATION TIME AND A CIRCULATING ANTICOAGULANT

Abstract
"Hemophilioid" disease in a 30-yr.-old woman is described. There was an increase in circulating anticoagulant, which resisted treatment with blood and blood products. It is postulated that the anticoagulant was an antibody to normal human globulin substances, preventing the conversion of thromboplastinogen to thromboplastin.
