Abstract
We introduce a general distribution, called the generalised Bessel K (GBK) distribution that involves the modified Bessel function of the second kind. The statistical properties of the proposed distribution as well as its application to coherent modelling of radar clutter are investigated. It is shown that the GBK-distribution includes a large number of the well known clutter models and is still mathematically tractable. Keywords
