Abstract
Cardiac muscle of rabbits with vit. E-deficiency showed: a) a marked reduction in the creatine phosphate fraction, which averaged 6.1 mg% in the control and 0.9 mg.% in experimental rabbits. b) The inorganic phosphate and adenosine polyphosphate fractions and the glycogen content were not modified. The greatest decrease in creatine phosphate occurred when the onset of dystrophy was rapid and accompanied by a pronounced weight loss. Keywords
