Abstract
Polyclonal anti-GA5-antiseruin and anti-GA20-antiserum were prepared by immunizing rabbits with conjugates of N-GA5-β-alanyl BSA and N-GA20-β-alanyl BSA. By radioimmunoassay using these antisera, GA5 and GA20 in developing fruits of Pharbitis nil Chois were analyzed after several purification steps and the results were compared with those obtained by GC-MS to examine the reliability of the analysis by radioimmunoassay. The analytical results by radioimmunoassay did not agree with those by GC-MS until two-step purifications by HPLC, indicating that samples must be suitably purified prior to radioimmunoassay to obtain reliable results. Keywords
