Abstract
This article presents some practical solutions to the problem of transformation between local geodetic coordinate sets and also between the local geodetic system and global reference systems. A number of commonly used transformation parameters are given. Particular attention is given to the conversion of ellipsoidal heights to the Australian Height Datum and to the methods of obtaining geoid-ellipsoid separation values. Keywords
