Abstract
A micro method for the detn. of "formaldehydogenic steroids" using sodium bismuthate as the oxidant has been descr. The isothermal distillation and subsequent colorimetric detn. of the formaldehyde takes place at 100[degree] in a stoppered Conway unit. The detn. is complete within 3 hrs. and the method is suitable for batch detns. The method has an accuracy of [plus or minus] 1.5% in the range 5-25 m-[mu]moles.Keywords
