Elastic scattering of electrons with hydrogen atoms using the polarized Glauber approximation

Abstract
The Glauber theory for electron-atom collisions is extended to include the polarization effects. The results for the differential and the total elastic-scattering cross sections are presented, and it is observed that the agreement with the available data is improved with the inclusion of such effects.Keywords
