Abstract
Patients with hyperparathyroidism and osteomalacia may suffer crush lesions of juxtaarticular bone with a traumatic type of synovitis characterized by effusions and disability. Osteoarthrosis occurs later. Some cases may mimic rheumatoid arthritis although calcification in the synovial membrane and cartilage common in these cases is never seen. Keywords
