Abstract
Urinary excretion of catecholamines in 178 patients with congestive heart failure caused by acquired valvular disease was determined. Tentative conclusions are urinary excretion of catecholamines, especially epinephrine and norepinephrine, was increased; values of both urinary epinephrine and norepinephrine increased from grade I to grade III of congestive heart failure and decreased in grade IV but not to the normal range; values of urinary norepinephrine covered a wide range. Keywords
