Abstract
Description of a simplified technique of starch gel electrophoresis in buffered urea solution, permitting simultaneous recognition of the genetic variants of a s1-, B- and x-casein and of B-lactoglobulin present in a milk sample. The procedure as applied to whole milk requires no treatment other than the addition of 2-mercaptoethanol. Gels used are only 1. 5 mm thick, and can be stained without slicing. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
