Abstract
The ultracentrifugal and electrophoretic analysis of the sera from 5 cases of multiple myelomatosis is reported. Each case showed hyperproteinemia and the amt. of globulin as % of total protein increased with the total serum protein. The sera could be classified into 2 groups, the first showing 2 components in the ultracentrifuge, and a large increase in [gamma] globulin in the electrophoresis apparatus, the 2d multiple components and an increased amt. of [beta] globulin. Normal human [gamma] globulin, isolated by salt fractionation, was qualitatively distinguishable from the [gamma] globulin isolated from myelomatosis serum. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
