Abstract
The goal of this study was to assess the need for teacher educators to prepare teachers for the area of behavioral disorders. The data collection instrument was a 17-item questionnaire sent to 128 institutions of higher education; a total of 102 (80%) responded. The data show there is a short-fall of qualified personnel to fill the needs of institutions of higher education for faculty in the area of behavioral disorders. Keywords
