Abstract
The inner valence shell photoionisation of N2 has been studied using monochromatised synchrotron radiation in the region of 44 to 65 eV. The experimental results are compared with recent theoretical calculations predicting shape resonance features and a breakdown of the independent-particle (MO) picture of ionisation. Keywords
