Abstract
Four new prenylated benzoic acid derivatives, kuhistanols A−D (1−4), along with one known compound, 3-farnesyl-p-hydroxybenzoic acid (5), have been isolated from the roots of the Uzbekistan medicinal plant, Ferula kuhistanica. Their structures were established on the basis of chemical and spectral evidence. Compound 4 showed a significant inhibitory effect on cytokine production in lipopolysaccharide-stimulated human peripheral mononuclear cells. Keywords
