Abstract
The indicator fractionation technique has been applied to the measurement of adrenal cortical and medullary blood flow in the rat. Medullary perfusion/unit of weight is greater than cortical. In stress produced by unilateral carotid artery ligation both cortical and medul lary flows increase. The results do not support the hypothesis that stress increases cortical perfusion by medullary arteriolar constriction. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
