Abstract
Cladosporium werneckii was grown on a variety of media and under a variety of conditions, and the mold- or yeast-like character of the resulting growth was determined. Nutritional factors, particularly cysteine, are of great importance in determining yeast phase growth, and temperature is of minor importance. C. werneckii is microaerophilic, and can be grown in an atmosphere of nitrogen or carbon dioxide. When grown in an atmosphere of carbon dioxide, it has the morphology of a yeast; under nitrogen or oxygen it grows as a mold. Cladosporium werneckii se sembró en diversos medios de cultivo y bajo diferentes condiciones, para asi determinar en el crecimiento resultante sus caracteristicas de levadura o de hongo. Factores nutricionales, particularmente la cisteina, tienen gran importancia para obtener la fase levaduriforme, mientras que la temperatura es de una importancia menor. C. werneckii es microaerófilo, pudiendo crecer en atmósfera de nitrógeno o de anhidrido carbónico. En una atmósfera de anhidrido carbónico crece como levadura; en la de nitrógeno o oxigeno crece en forma de hongo.Keywords
