Abstract
Gas‐flame heating equipment for a single crystal x‐ray diffractometer has been designed and constructed for the study of materials in the molten state up to 2300°C. An application of this equipment to structural investigation of molten platinum is discussed. Radial distribution functions were computed and analyzed employing the diffracted intensities. Keywords
