Abstract
Recent studies of ferroelectric properties at low temperatures are reviewed and include the quantum suppression of the ferroelectric transition, the zero-field and field-dependent specific heats, and the electrocaloric and pyroelectric effects. These properties depend intimately on the position of the soft mode and other low-lying modes at low temperatures, and it is sham that a remarkable degree of agreement and self-consistency exists among these properties. Keywords
