Abstract
Various N,N-disubstituted carbamoyltrimethylsilanes can be prepared by the addition of LDA to a mixture of TMSCl and the appropriate formamide in THF at −78°C. Slow (syringe pump) addition of LDA is crucial to obtaining good yields. Keywords
