Abstract
The purpose of this study is twofold: first, to propose and test a theoretical model concerning the way elementary school principals make teacher allocation decisions, and, second, to apply LISRFI causal modeling methodology to estimate and test this model. In all, 169 elementary school principals participated in the study. The results confirm that the proposed model fits the data. In making allocation decisions, elementary school principals are mainly influenced by antecedent personal, organizational, and political variables. We also discuss previous research and practical implications. Keywords
