Abstract
Lactose-sulphite broth was proposed initially for the rapid identification and enumeration of Clostridium perfringens in food but this medium can also be used for detection of the microorganism in raw material, in clinical specimens and in studies of human faecal flora. Its interpretation is simple and results are obtained within 24 h.Keywords
