Abstract
A patient with osteomalacia secondary to gluten sensitivity, in whom pseudofractures (looser zones) were identified by bone scintigraphy, is reported. Scintigraphy with TcPP [technetium 99m polyphosphate] is of value in the demonstration of pseudofractures in osteomalacia and such lesions may be identified when radiographs are normal. Comment is made on the differential diagnosis of multiple foci of high activity. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
