Abstract
Colonial variants of Brucella suis and B. abortus establish themselves at certain times in the tissues of guinea pigs inoculated with labeled smooth cultures. Colonial variants of B. abortus were recovered from the fluids of aborted fetuses from cows inoculated with smooth organisms. Variants were not recovered from the milk or tissues of infected cows. Keywords
