Abstract
Monolithic InGaAsP-InP lasers comprising an active Bragg reflector integrated with a separately pumped wide-band gain region have been developed. The lasers operate in a dynamic single mode in the 1.55 μm wavelength region. By adjusting the current through the Bragg reflector, the wavelength can be tuned. The maximum tuning range is 11.6 nm.Keywords
