Abstract
Dc susceptibilities of GdBa2Cu3O y are measured. Temperature dependence of the susceptibilities of the normal states obeys the Curie-Weiss law, and the antiferromagnetic ordering is expected from the Weiss temperature. Below the superconducting transition temperatures, the susceptibilities decrease due to the Meissner effect and increase due to paramagnetic behavior of gadolinium ions. At 2.25 K the peak related to the antiferromagnetic ordering is observed. Above the Néel temperature the susceptibility has a hysteresis when the applied field is 100 Oe.Keywords
