Abstract
Time-resolved magnetoluminescence was used to study the hierarchy of the fractional quantum Hall effect (FQHE) states. Several different families of the FQHE states are observed. A striking symmetry in the dependence of the chemical potential discontinuity on the filling factor is found inside all families of the FQHE states. Keywords
