Abstract
A 32 yr. old white, male bartender suffered myocardial infarction following precordial chest trauma incurred in a tavern brawl. Metabolic studies suggested a predisposition toward premature coronary artery disease. Selective coronary angiography revealed a normal coronary arterial system. The high incidence of myocardial contusion following non-penetrating chest trauma is not widely recognized. In the presence of frank infarction, subsequent coronary arteriography is often indicated for medicolegal and rehabilitation purposes. Keywords
