Antibacterial Action of Tetracycline: Comparisons with Oxytetracycline and Chlortetracycline.

Abstract
The antibacterial action of the closely related antibiotics tetracycline, oxytetracycline, and chlortetracycline in vitro is very similar, although significant quantitative differences are noted in the action of these 3 analogues on individual strains and under certain cultural conditions. Tests were made with 12 different types of organisms.
