Abstract
Decagonal (D) and amorphous phases in an Al-Ni-Fe system have been examined by the Mössbauer effect. The Mössbauer spectrum of the D-phase is similar to that of a rapidly solidified Al-Cu-Fe icosahedral (I-) phase, indicating the similarity of the environmental structure around the Fe atom site between D- and I-phases.Keywords
