Abstract
Although there is a growing body of research in the United Kingdom into gender differences in leisure opportunities and behaviour, little is known about the extent to which such differences are modified by ethnicity. In this paper we present the findings of an exploratory investigation into factors influencing the lifestyles of young people of South Asian descent and appraise various strategies to obviate gender inequalities in their leisure. Keywords
