Abstract
Following administration of 10-800 RU of amniotin, a drop in basal metabolism of 42% was obtained. More than 1000 basal metabolism tests were made in accumulating data. The ovariectomized animals show a greater drop in BM than was obtained in intact rats and rabbits. The results indicate an indirect or direct relation of the ovarian and thyroid function, possibly by way of the hypophysis. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
