Abstract
The assumption of the existence of blocking sites has been widely used recently in statistical treatments of interstitial solid solutions with repulsive interactions. It is shown in this paper that the partial molar entropy is extremely sensitive to the strength of the blocking effect and that a simple treatment is able to provide the essential features observed in this type of solution. Keywords
