Abstract
Dark blue-stained mycoplasma antigen was produced when neotetrazolium (NTZ) was added to concentrated culture growth after 24 h incubation at 37.degree. C. Staining was optimum when the NTZ was prepared in pH 7.8 phosphate-buffered saline. A microagglutination test procedure was devised that was sensitive and specific for antibodies to M. gallisepticum or M. synoviae in avian [chicken, turkey] sera.
