Abstract
Estrin injected into [male] mice over a period of 122-137 days produced prostate changes; metaplasia of glandular epithelium to stratified squamous; increase in fibromuscular stroma; wt. decrease of gland. Administration of testosterone induced reversal of metaplasia toward normal type, but had little effect on fibromuscular stroma. Progestrone and dehydroandrosterone were not effective.
