Abstract
A method for this separation, without destruction of either hormone, is described. The procedure is based upon the fact that pro- gestin is more soluble in petroleum ether than in 33% ethyl alcohol and estrin more soluble in 33% alcohol than in petroleum ether. Since the results obtained are quantitative the method makes possible for the first time an accurate study of the various effects of each of these hormones practically free from the other in relation to many physiological problems of reproduction. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
