Abstract
Soft X-ray spectrum from laser-irradiated Au plasma is analyzed by 1-D hydrodynamic Lagrangian code with a non-LTE model and a multi-group radiation transport code and is compared with the experimental results. The physical meaning of the experimentally obtained spectrum is clarified and the total emitted power density proves to have maximum value at a certain combination of ion density and electron temperature. Keywords
