Abstract
Optical emission from CO+(*) formed in electronic energy transfer collisions between metastable neon atoms and ground-state carbon monoxide molecules has been measured in the spectral range 300–870 nm by a beam plus scattering gas technique. An indirect procedure allows the estimation of the relative reactivity of the two metastable states present in the beam. (AIP)Keywords
