Abstract
An interpretation of some recent zero-magnetic-field thermopower results in GaAs/AlGaAs heterostructures due to Davidson and coworkers (1986) is presented. The variation of thermopower with temperature can be accounted for by assuming that the first excited sub-band is several meV the Fermi energy and that there is no phonon drag contribution. Keywords
