Abstract
All birds were counted over a strip 20 yds. wide on 3 short trips during late Oct. and early Nov. at the end of the dry season. The country censused was mostly hilly Brachystegia woodland, rather barren and without surface water. The average population was 2.6 birds per acre (51 spp.), which agrees well with previous studies in other parts of Africa. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
