Abstract
Coulomb gas scaling is used to compare Monte Carlo simulations for two-dimensional (2D) XY models with renormalization equations for the 2D Coulomb gas. This comparison is interpreted as empirical evidence that the Kosterlitz-Thouless jumps of the helicity moduli for the (1/2)-frustrated XY model on a square lattice and on a honeycomb lattice are of a recently suggested nonuniversal type. Keywords
