Abstract
Intraven. admd. purified pyrogens from cultures of Bacillus prodigiosus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Eberthella typhosa showed marked ulcer-inhibiting action in the Shay rat. These substances were somewhat less active intraperit. and inactive orally. Anti-ulcer activity may be associated with their inhibitory effect on gastric secretion. Keywords
