Abstract
We discuss a model involving the interaction of a single-mode field with both a Kerr medium and a parametric nonlinearity of the kth order. The system is externally driven by the parametric pump field. We show that applying an appropriately chosen field frequency, and for weak nonlinear process, k-photon Fock state of the electromagnetic field can be achieved. © 1996 The American Physical Society. Keywords
