Abstract
The diamagnetic susceptibility χ of InP, InAs, and InSb is calculated with use of a linear combination of hybrid orbitals model recently developed by us. Our expression for χ, which is derived from the general expression for the diamagnetic susceptibility of intrinsic semiconductors, is independent of the choice of origin and free from any scaling parameter, unlike as in the earlier theory. Keywords
