Electro-optical effect, acoustic resonance and space charge in KTaO3

Abstract
Optical birefringence and acoustic flexure resonances show that space charge is almost homogeneously distributed in DC-biased KTaO3. The charge follows the applied field slowly but irreversibly. Some consequences for ferroelectric hysteresis are discussed.Keywords
