Outer-Shell Rearrangement in Highly Stripped Core Ions in Molecules

Abstract
In observing the resolved x-ray satellite structures of Si and S from various molecular gas targets induced by O and Cl beams, we find shifts in relative intensity and centroid energy for the individual satellites indicative of substantial outer-shell relaxation prior to -hole filling.
