Abstract
The influence of one-dimensional spin-Peierls fluctuations on the temperature dependent magnetic susceptibility of an antiferromagnetic chain is calculated using the renormalization group and the functional-integral methods. The results are shown to give an accurate description of fluctuation effects found in recently synthesized organic spin-Peierls compounds. Keywords
