Abstract
Transferred thermoluminescence (TL) in natural calcium fluoride (CaF2:nat) has been investigated as a potential dosimeter of terrestrial solar ultraviolet radiation. Linearity, longterm stability, and spectral sensitivity are among the properties investigated. Relative merits of direct transfer TL vs an upper‐trap sampling technique have been ascertained. Application of CaF2:nat as a dosimeter of erythemally effective solar energy has been investigated. The technique provides a convenient and reliable method of uv radiation dosimetry. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
