Abstract
A list of the various members of the influenza group of bacteria is given together with their usual pathologic propensities. The "atyplcal" form of H. influenzae appears in the same culture with "typlcal" and the difference is due to a nutrient deficiency (haemin and cozy-mase). The growth characteristics of giant colonies are useful in distinguishing strains from each other. Periodic photographs indicate differences for a Pfeiffer and a plttman strain. Indole production is also useful for differentiating strains. This publication has 18 references indexed in Scilit:
