Abstract
Excitation spectra of Ag, Mg, Cu, and Fe impurities in alkali metals are reported. A detailed analysis identifies components derived from (i) single-particle scattering, (ii) perturbed plasmon processes, (iii) localized excitations, and (iv) the associated shakeoff effects.Keywords
